Who wears the football crown?

How could so much hope, nurtured through the years fade in a matter of days. That is the story of Brazil at this years world cup.

Today it wasn't a befitting end for such a wonderful host. The Brazilian fans deserved better. They really threw in the numbers to grace every national game, as the sea of yellow shirts can show. But Netherlands wanted it more. They have been pitch perfect throughout this competition and deserve today's win.

It is a pity to see Brazil loose so many records it once held, even as it made negative new ones. Two international home loses in a matter of days, ending an almost eighty year run. And capping it with the host team to concede the most goals in a world cup. It is a low point from which they have to climb as we look forward to 2018.

That is a bitter world cup story. Let's look on to the final game, Argentina vs Germany, what will it be?
